The RevPi Connect 5 is KUNBUS’s latest Revolution Pi base module, based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). The device features enhanced computing power through its Broadcom BCM2712 processor and significantly improved GPU performance compared to its predecessor series. The integrated TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) ensures security standards for industrial applications.
The RevPi Connect 5 uses the Broadcom BCM2712 processor, a quad-core ARM Cortex-A76 running at 2.4 GHz. Depending on the variant, the device is equipped with 4 or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32 GB eMMC memory. The faster eMMC interface enables more efficient data processing.
Housed in a DIN rail enclosure, the RevPi Connect 5 offers comprehensive connectivity: Two Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ45), two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and a Micro-HDMI 2.0a output for 4K video output at 60 fps. The new VideoCore VII graphics processor supports OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.2. RS485 and CAN-FD interfaces as well as WLAN and Bluetooth functionality are available depending on the variant.
The front panel features six RGB LEDs, five of which are freely programmable. The real-time clock is buffered by a CR2032 lithium battery. A hardware watchdog monitors reliable operation.
A customized Raspberry Pi OS comes pre-installed. The system supports communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT and OPC UA and is CODESYS compatible.
Up to ten RevPi I/O modules can be connected via the PiBridge system, including RevPi gateway modules for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and PROFIBUS. Full backward compatibility enables integration into existing systems.
